It seems everywhere you look, critics are quick to assert rock is dead. And while rock may struggle to maintain relevance in the charts alongside hip-hop and modern R&B, recent top-grossing tours and continued success of legacy rock acts well into their 80’s proves that as a live experience, rock has yet to be topped.

Firago is an original rock band flying the flag for the current generation. Raised on classic rock, punk, new-wave and disco via their parent’s vinyl collections, they grew to love grunge, hip-hop, dance, and EDM. This is rock music for the modern age: big dance beats, hooky synths, disco basslines, intricate vocal harmonies while never forgetting the power of a well timed guitar solo.

Firago first achieved local notoriety for their parody “Jay Cutler I’m Giving Up on You”, a well-timed shredding of the former Bear quarterback that received coverage on WGN, Fox, KissFM and more. Before COVID rendered live shows illegal, they played local venues such as the House of Blues, Cubby Bear, Bottom Lounge, Tonic Room, and more. All music available on Spotify and all other major platforms.
